Wow :[
I created this journal on January 18, 2003.
I went through a bunch of my old (now locked, for a reason I forget) entries and pretty much everybody who used to comment on those is gone now. I'm still here, reading and commenting sometimes, but I have so many other 'net outlets that I just end up repeating myself everywhere. Where do we all end up moving off to? So weird.

Aside from watching Smallville in my spare time (it's Chris's fault), I have been working on a new-ish version of my website.
I want to do more long-term drawing/design projects to maybe expand my horizons or whatever, but I'm not sure what I could start that I'd want to keep doing for a while without quitting. HM.

I really like the 311 station I've got set up on Pandora.com because it brings back memories. But it seems like every station I choose seems to eventually play "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer. Even my Cibo Matto station ended up playing it.

I haven't had any luck finding my preschool sweetheart(s) on Facebook or MySpace, but I will keep on trying. I've been looking up all kinds of people whose names I randomly remember, including teachers and people I met at community college but didn't really hang out with.
I don't even have a real MySpace profile but who haven't I Facebooked yet? Here I am.
EDIT: I found one of them! He still lives in the same town. Judging by his tiny photos his girlfriend is really pretty and they are both really tan, plus he wears t-shirts with the sleeves cut off to go hiking. Cute dog, too. But he didn't write anything about himself, how unhelpful.

Hey babes! It's been so long.
I knitted a sweater while I was gone:
I'm so proud! I don't really know what color this wool yarn is. It's like a yellow tan with green flecks. It's called "Kansas" so I can imagine it's named after the dirt. But I'm totally into it.

Well, here's that good news I mentioned, though a lot of you already know about it and are probably just like, "whatever." Anyway, my illustrations are in Cosmopolitan magazine this month!!
I also did a magazine cover for Her Nashville, a free local magazine which is really nicely designed and interesting, so check it out if you're near Nashville, TN!
So, I'm excited. Too bad I'm in a lull, now, because I was getting greedy there for a little while. I'm still sending out promotional postcards like crazy and I plan to apply to real jobs, too, with my updated resume. I do screenprinting now for a t-shirt store downtown, which has been really interesting but also stressful. I love doing screenprinting but I guess I'd rather set up my own tiny studio and make like one greeting card a day or something.

Well, my dears, it's been a while without an update to ye ol' LJ, so let me just tell you like this:
I got married to my boyfriend of five years! It was the best and easiest thing I've ever done.

I also have some good news about my freelance illustration 'job' but I'm waiting for next month before I post anything about it. Soon it'll be time for me to make new promotional postcards, and I'm thinking I should try to avoid using a lot of blue:
